Note: If you are using Configuration Attributes that map to Quote Lines, you must have "Edit" permissions on the Product Option object.

Note: If all your profiles are already created before you install SteelBrick CPQ and you select Grant Access to All Users during the install wizard, these settings are configured for you automatically. Your users cannot see any of the SteelBrick CPQ functionality until you activate those users as SteelBrick CPQ users.

SteelBrick CPQ Permissions Sets

@tpastorino @lvoelz2 This doesn't cover native objects, for example, a user needs RCED access to opportunity products and this is important to note because in some organizations, prior to CPQ implementation, organizations weren't using opportunity products or were restricting delete access, for instance. There used to be a spreadsheet with recommended RCED settings for user vs. admin across every object that was touched custom or native but was out-of-date, is there an updated version of that somewhere in the community? If not can this one be enhanced?

Where is permission to clone a quote?

As an Admin, I am able to clone quotes for my sales reps. However, we want them to be able to clone their own quotes. When they attempt to clone, it gives them an "insufficient privileges" error.

I compared our permission set assignments; the only difference is the Admin-related permission sets.

Any guidance would be helpful. Thanks!

Please update this page to include objects within Salesforce Billing.

Our org was setup as Admin only instead of for all profiles. Are there any scripts that can be run to update all the permissions?

Thanks!

John

@lvoelz2 is it possible to fix the table here?

@NRochon Corrected. Looks like there were some changes with the master CSS table that affected default table spacing, so I'm looking into what caused that and correcting any other impacted tables. Feel free to message me directly if you run into any others that need correction as well.

Is there anything similar for billing objects?

Hi @lvoelz2@jeffhinton raised a good point about permissions required to allow users to clone their own quotes ('Clone with Related').

Please can you let us know permissions required to allow for that? Users are experiencing 'Insufficient access rights on cross-reference id' although they have the 'Salesforce CPQ User' permission set.
